My oil paintings are on large canvases and reflect the rhythms and spontaneity of nature. I focus on landscapes, forests, and turbulent skies. I am self taught and most of my paintings are very colorful. I also paint abstract flowers and landscapes in watercolour.

 

  I paint scenes that I remember from growing up, and images from my dreams. Some of my paintings are pieces of stories I have internalized. I use symbols in many of my works whether that is the flower I chose, the colour, or the arrangement of the stars and moon.

My career began as a Production Artist, doing page design and ad design as well as editorial work. I taught myself to paint in my twenties and have had my work exhibited in a Calgary gallery in 2015-2016. At that time I took a break from painting, and focused on raising my three children. Yoga is a huge part of my life and I have been teaching classes for 18 years. I began painting again in 2022.

I have a Bachelor of Communication Studies from the University of Calgary, and a Journalism Arts Diploma.
